How can I find my LAN-Card Address?
Important Information:
The LAN-Card and the Student Version must be installed on the same system, because the LAN-Card Address is used as the code for the software. The LAN-Card does not need to be connected to a network but the TCP/IP Protocol must be installed.
How to find the LAN-Card Address:
- Open a MS-DOS Window via Start – Run
- Enter "cmd", this opens a command window.
- In the command window, enter "ipconfig /all" and confirm it with enter.
- The necessary information for your hardware can be found under Ethernet adapter "Physical Address".
Example:
Physical Address: 00-10-A4-E3-40-B1
Enter the Physical Address of the LAN-Card in the field of the registration form and change it as follows:
In front of the address add "0x" (zero x, not O or o) and delete the dashes "-".
Result: 0x0010A4E340B1
